In artificially structured, periodic media light evolution can be tailored in an unprecedented fashion. A particular example are arrays of evanescently coupled waveguides, that allow the emulation of numerous field in physics based on classical photonics. In my talk, I will present some recent results on the emulation of the Quantum Zeno effect, the relativistic “Zitterbewegung”, and Supersymmetry.
