For the past twenty years, Austrian Quantum physics research has been supported by the FWF through cooperative SFB projects (F15 CMCQ: 1999-2008 and F40 FoQuS: 2009-2018). From 4-8th of February 2019, researchers gathered at the University of Innsbruck for the closing conference of the SFB FoQuS project and a ceremonial handover to the leaders of the next FWF SFB Project “BeyondC”. Speaker Philip Walther (UNIVIE) and Vice-Speaker Barbara Kraus (UIBK) were passed the baton by their predecessors Rainer Blatt and Peter Zoller.

BeyondC Kicks-off on the 1st of March 2019 and promises to continue and reinforce the longstanding tradition of ground-breaking Quantum Physics research in Austria.
