Machine Learning Gets a Quantum Speedup

Does quantum physics have an advantage over machine learning? And if so, how can both work together? Quanta Magazine discussed these questions in a recent article featuring Valeria Saggio‘s research on quantum computing.

Before moving to Massachusetts to work at the MIT, Valeria Saggio worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Walther group. Last year, the research of Dr. Saggio and her collaborators demonstrated that with the help of a quantum communication channel, an algorithm's learning ability can be sped up.

The article in Quanta Magazine explores the current state of research and how these findings can be used to advance machine learning in the future.
